Signpost Philippines Inc. will soon implement another project for the people in Brgy. San Juan in the district of Molo, Iloilo City. Dubbed as Rain for Growth in San Juan, Philippines, it will be funded by the Big Lottery International Communities Fund of UK and will be launched in the latter part of July 2014. This partnership was facilitated by Signpost International which is also based in UK.

Rain for Growth aims to benefit the areas of Panot, Punong and Esing which are all located in Zone 2 of Brgy. San Juan as well as the children of the three elementary schools what can be found within the San catchment area.  It is expected to directly benefit five thousand four hundred eighty three (5,483) people including a big percentage of children aged 6-12.

The three-year project would like to address the concerns of the community such as the lack of access to safe yet affordable water and sanitation. The four components of the project include the rainwater harvesting and purification system, a communal toiletblock, the organization of a community-led water and sanitation committee that would supervise and monitor a community-led cooperative enterprise and a hygiene education programme that would promote awareness on water safety and sanitation as well as improve health practices in the target community and in the schools in it.

Aside from the Rain for Growth, Signpost Philippines, Inc., an NGO which aims to alleviate poverty by empowering people to transform their communities, has other projects such as child sponsorship, environment protection, livelihood, health, sanitation and safety, infrastructure, emergency response and community organizing.
